chOpaal is a free group SMS service with the simple aim of creating virtual forums over cellphones. Create groups to interact with friends, family and other like-minded people instantly.
Here's what you can do on chOpaal.

The service is completely free and you will only be charged by your operator as per your package plan.
A group is a group of people on chOpaal. You can
create any number of groups. To create a group, you have to send:
create groupname private broadcast

Add private after the name if you want to control who can join your group. |

If you add broadcast, only you will be able to send messages to your group. |
You can
join any number of groups. To join a group, send:
join groupname
There are two ways to send a message to a group.

Write the group name anywhere in the message. |

Example: free redbull at the football match

The message will go to all the groups: redbull, football and LUMS |

.Group -- Write the group name at the start of the message |

The message will only go to the group you put at the start after the dot. |
* You need to be a member of the group to send messages to it.
* Only the owner can send messages to 'broadcast' groups, unless he has allowed other people.
You can
leave groups easily. To leave a group, send:
leave groupname
To
invite someone to chOpaal, send:
invite number
* The number should be like 03217654321
When someone joins your private group, you will be sent a message.

You can turn on
echo if you want to receive a copy of the message you send. To turn echo on, send:
echo
* Send echo again to turn it off
You can send your message directly to the owner of a group. To do that, send:
@owner groupname your message
* This works for both normal and private groups
You can
report offensive or unwanted messages you receive from a group. To do that, forward us the message in this format:
report the message you received
* The report will go to the owner of the group
If you're the owner of a group, you can moderate it in a number of ways.

To warn someone, send: |

To disallow someone from sending messages to your group, you can block him. To do that, send: |

You can send a reason for blocking him (optional) |

To unblock/allow someone to send messages to your group, send: |

To kick someone from your group, send: |
